Kuwait Packing Materials Manufacturing Company KSC (C) is seeking qualified and experienced Junior CNC Machinists to join its manufacturing team in Kuwait. The successful candidates will operate 3-axis CNC milling machines with Fanuc controls, perform machine and job setup, set cutting tools, interpret engineering drawings, measure machined components, and ensure finished parts meet specified dimensional and quality standards.
Junior CNC Machinist
Qualifications:
- Male, maximum 40 years old.
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant CNC machining experience.
- Proven experience operating 3-axis CNC milling machines with Fanuc controls.
- Experience in CNC job setup and tool setting for milling operations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical and engineering drawings.
- Good understanding of machining sequences, dimensions, tolerances, and engineering specifications.
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Ability to accurately measure machined components using appropriate precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to maintain accurate dimensional and quality records.
- Knowledge of CNC milling tools, workholding methods, offsets, and basic machining processes.
- Ability to manufacture components according to drawings, specifications, tolerances, and quality standards.
- Knowledge of Unigraphics NX10 CAM software is an advantage.
- Experience operating conventional machine tools and equipment is an added advantage.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Ability to read and write English.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and quality.
- Physically fit and capable of working in a manufacturing and machining environment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate 3-axis CNC milling machines equipped with Fanuc controls.
- Perform CNC machine setup and prepare machines for assigned machining operations.
- Set and adjust cutting tools, tool holders, work offsets, and machine parameters.
- Perform job setup according to engineering drawings, specifications, and production requirements.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, engineering drawings, and machining specifications.
- Determine the appropriate sequence of machining operations based on drawings and production requirements.
- Select suitable cutting tools and machining methods for different materials and components.
- Load and secure workpieces correctly before machining.
- Monitor CNC machining operations to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient production.
- Check machined components during and after production to verify dimensional accuracy.
- Use precision measuring instruments to inspect dimensions and tolerances.
- Maintain accurate dimensional measurements and quality records for machined components.
- Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles when interpreting drawings and inspecting components.
- Manufacture components in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, tolerances, and quality standards.
- Identify machining defects, dimensional deviations, tool wear, and other production issues.
- Make appropriate tool and machine adjustments to maintain required dimensions and surface quality.
- Perform basic troubleshooting of CNC machining and tooling problems.
- Monitor cutting conditions, tool performance, machine operation, and finished product quality.
- Carry out routine cleaning and basic maintenance of CNC machines, tools, and work areas.
- Maintain proper organization and safe handling of cutting tools, measuring equipment, materials, and workpieces.
- Follow workplace safety procedures and established manufacturing and quality control standards.
- Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, quality personnel, and other machinists to resolve production issues.
- Meet assigned production schedules while maintaining accuracy, quality, and minimal material waste.
