KBR SERVICES LLC is seeking an experienced Instrumentation Planner to support maintenance operations in Qatar. The ideal candidate should have extensive maintenance planning experience in oil and gas, petrochemical, fertilizer, or power plant environments, with strong knowledge of planning, scheduling, coordination, and documentation for instrumentation and control system maintenance, calibration, and installation activities.
INSTRUMENTATION PLANNER
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 8 years of working experience is required.
- Must have maintenance experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Fertilizer, or Power Plant environments.
- Must be a Bachelor’s / College Degree holder in Engineering (Industrial) or similar fields.
- Strong experience in planning, scheduling, and coordinating industrial instrumentation and control system maintenance.
- Knowledge of maintenance requirements for industrial instruments, control systems, calibration activities, and installation work.
- Ability to develop and manage preventive and corrective maintenance schedules.
- Strong organizational and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple maintenance activities and priorities.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with instrumentation technicians, engineers, operations personnel, contractors, and other maintenance disciplines.
- Good understanding of maintenance work orders, resource planning, spare parts, tools, equipment, and technical documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to monitor maintenance schedules and completion status accurately.
- Ability to identify potential delays, resource requirements, and maintenance risks and coordinate appropriate actions.
- Good knowledge of workplace safety requirements and the importance of compliance with site safety standards.
- Strong reporting, documentation, communication, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced industrial maintenance environment.
- Reliable, organized, proactive, and capable of coordinating maintenance activities with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate instrumentation and control system maintenance activities.
- Develop detailed maintenance plans and schedules for preventive and corrective instrumentation work.
- Coordinate instrument calibration, inspection, testing, repair, maintenance, and installation activities.
- Review maintenance requirements and determine the manpower, tools, equipment, materials, and resources needed for planned activities.
- Coordinate maintenance activities with Instrumentation Technicians, Engineers, Operations, and other maintenance disciplines.
- Monitor planned work orders and ensure maintenance activities are completed according to approved schedules.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and periodic maintenance schedules and progress reports.
- Coordinate instrument shutdown and maintenance activities to minimize disruption to plant operations.
- Ensure required spare parts, materials, tools, test equipment, and technical resources are available before work execution.
- Review maintenance work scopes, technical requirements, equipment information, and relevant documentation.
- Support the planning of preventive maintenance programs for industrial instruments and control systems.
- Coordinate calibration schedules and ensure instruments are maintained and calibrated within required intervals.
- Assist in planning installation, replacement, modification, and commissioning activities for instrumentation and control systems.
- Monitor maintenance progress and identify schedule delays, resource constraints, and other potential issues.
- Coordinate with procurement and stores personnel regarding required instrumentation spare parts and materials.
- Maintain accurate maintenance planning records, work orders, schedules, reports, and documentation.
- Ensure all planned instrument and control system maintenance complies with applicable industry regulations, technical requirements, and site procedures.
- Ensure maintenance activities are planned and executed in accordance with site safety standards and established safe work practices.
- Coordinate permit requirements, equipment isolation, and other safety prerequisites before maintenance activities where applicable.
- Assist in identifying opportunities to improve maintenance efficiency, equipment reliability, and work planning processes.
- Provide regular updates to supervisors and management regarding maintenance progress, outstanding work, and upcoming activities.
- Perform other instrumentation planning, scheduling, and maintenance coordination duties as assigned.
