KBR SERVICES LLC is seeking an experienced Instrument Technician to support maintenance operations in Qatar. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in oil and gas, petrochemical, fertilizer, or power plant environments, with strong technical skills in instrumentation troubleshooting, inspection, testing, calibration, installation, adjustment, and preventive maintenance.
INSTRUMENT TECHNICIAN
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of working experience is required.
- Must have maintenance experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Fertilizer, or Power Plant environments.
- No minimum educational attainment is required for this position.
- Hands-on experience in troubleshooting, inspection, testing, calibration, and preventive maintenance of industrial instruments.
- Hands-on experience with pressure, level, flow, and temperature transmitters.
- Experience maintaining pressure, level, flow, and temperature switches.
- Knowledge and practical experience with industrial analyzers.
- Hands-on experience with vibration instrumentation, including accelerometers, velometers, proximity probes, speed probes, and proximitor systems.
- Experience with control valves, on-off valves, solenoid valves, pneumatic valves, and electro-pneumatic valve accessories.
- Proficient in using appropriate test instruments and calibration equipment for troubleshooting, configuration, calibration, and testing.
- Hands-on experience in the removal, installation, and adjustment of vibration probes.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for industrial instrumentation and control equipment.
- Ability to read and understand relevant technical documentation, instrument information, and maintenance procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate instrument testing and maintenance.
- Ability to work safely in demanding industrial environments and follow established safety procedures.
- Good teamwork and communication skills when coordinating with maintenance and operations personnel.
- Reliable, physically capable, and willing to perform hands-on maintenance duties in an industrial plant environment.

Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial instrumentation and control systems.
- Troubleshoot, inspect, test, calibrate, configure, and adjust various types of field instruments.
- Maintain and troubleshoot pressure, level, flow, and temperature transmitters.
- Inspect, test, calibrate, and maintain pressure, level, flow, and temperature switches.
- Perform maintenance and functional testing of industrial analyzers and associated instrumentation.
- Maintain and troubleshoot vibration instrumentation, including accelerometers, velometers, proximity probes, speed probes, and proximitor systems.
- Inspect, maintain, adjust, and troubleshoot control valves, on-off valves, and solenoid valves.
- Maintain and troubleshoot valve accessories, including pneumatic and electro-pneumatic components and associated control devices.
- Use appropriate test instruments and calibration equipment for instrument testing and troubleshooting.
- Perform instrument calibration and verify readings against established specifications and operating requirements.
- Conduct functional and operational tests to ensure instruments are working accurately and reliably.
- Configure and adjust instruments and control devices according to technical requirements and plant procedures.
- Safely remove, install, adjust, and align vibration probes and related instrumentation.
- Inspect instrument installations, connections, tubing, wiring, fittings, and associated components for proper condition and operation.
- Diagnose instrument failures and identify faulty components requiring repair, replacement, or adjustment.
- Support the installation and commissioning of new instrumentation and replacement equipment when required.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, calibration activities, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance work.
- Follow approved maintenance procedures, technical instructions, plant standards, and safety requirements.
- Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, operators, and other maintenance personnel to resolve instrumentation problems.
- Ensure all tools, test equipment, instruments, and work areas are properly maintained and safely used.
- Observe strict workplace safety, permit-to-work, isolation, and lockout/tagout requirements where applicable.
- Perform other instrumentation maintenance and technical duties as assigned by management.
