Job Location: Mozambique
Daeah Engineering & Construction Co. Ltd is seeking an experienced Piping Inspector to monitor and ensure the quality and compliance of piping fabrication and installation activities for major engineering and construction projects in Mozambique.
The Piping Inspector will be responsible for conducting inspections, verifying workmanship, reviewing documentation, and ensuring piping systems meet project specifications, applicable codes, safety requirements, and client standards.
INSPECTOR PIPING
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of working experience in piping inspection, QA/QC, fabrication, or installation activities.
- Candidates must be a Bachelor’s / College Degree holder in Engineering (Others) or related fields.
- Experience in industrial, oil and gas, power, infrastructure, or large-scale construction projects is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of piping systems, fabrication processes, welding inspection, testing procedures, and quality requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret piping isometric drawings, P&IDs, specifications, and technical documents.
- Familiarity with piping codes, inspection standards, and construction quality procedures.
- Good attention to detail, communication, and reporting skills.
- Willing to work on project sites in Mozambique.
- Male applicants are preferred for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect piping fabrication and installation activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, codes, and quality standards.
- Conduct inspections of piping systems, welds, fittings, supports, and materials to verify quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Monitor piping works including fabrication, fit-up, installation, alignment, testing, and reinstatement activities.
- Review piping documentation, inspection records, material certificates, test reports, and related quality documents.
- Verify that piping materials and installation methods comply with project requirements and approved procedures.
- Identify non-conformities and coordinate with construction and QA/QC teams for corrective actions.
- Monitor pressure testing, hydrostatic testing, and other piping inspection activities as required.
- Document inspection results and prepare quality reports to ensure compliance with client requirements and industry standards.
- Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, contractors, and client representatives regarding inspection activities.
- Ensure all inspection activities comply with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations.
