Industrial Insulation Fitter

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years of working experience is required.
• Candidates must be at least a high school graduate.
• At least 3–5 years of experience as an Industrial Insulation Fitter.
• Experience working on industrial projects such as power plants, oil and gas facilities, petrochemical plants, refineries, and shipyards.
• Experienced in installing insulation on pipes, tanks, vessels, boilers, and industrial equipment.
• Skilled in installing insulation materials including mineral wool, fiberglass, calcium silicate, PIR, and foam glass.
• Experience installing metal cladding and protective jacketing using aluminum, stainless steel, or GI sheets.
• Ability to read and understand technical or isometric drawings.
• Good knowledge of industrial insulation installation methods, measurements, fitting, and finishing.
• Physically fit and willing to work in industrial environments and demanding site conditions.
• Able to work safely at heights and around industrial equipment when required.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Responsible, disciplined, hardworking, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Willing to follow site safety procedures, project standards, and supervisor instructions.

Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, repair, and replace thermal insulation systems on industrial piping and equipment.
• Measure work areas and determine the required dimensions and quantities of insulation materials.
• Cut and prepare insulation materials according to project specifications and measurements.
• Install insulation on pipes, tanks, vessels, boilers, ducts, and other industrial equipment.
• Work with insulation materials such as mineral wool, fiberglass, calcium silicate, PIR, and foam glass.
• Install metal cladding and protective jacketing over insulation systems.
• Fabricate, cut, shape, and install aluminum, stainless steel, or galvanized iron (GI) sheets for protective jacketing.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, isometric drawings, measurements, and project specifications.
• Ensure proper fitting, alignment, thickness, and coverage of insulation materials.
• Seal joints, seams, openings, and connections to prevent heat loss, moisture penetration, or damage to the insulation system.
• Inspect completed insulation and cladding work to ensure compliance with project quality standards.
• Remove damaged or defective insulation and prepare surfaces for replacement or repair.
• Use hand tools, power tools, cutting equipment, and fabrication tools safely and correctly.
• Coordinate with welders, pipefitters, mechanical workers, supervisors, and other site personnel as required.
• Follow project schedules, work instructions, installation procedures, and site requirements.
• Maintain proper housekeeping and keep tools, materials, and work areas organized.
• Follow occupational health and safety procedures when working at heights, around industrial equipment, and in restricted or hazardous areas.
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow site safety requirements at all times.
• Handle insulation materials, metal sheets, tools, and equipment safely to prevent damage and workplace injuries.
• Perform other insulation fitting, cladding, maintenance, and related duties assigned by management.
