HYDRAULIC TECHNICIAN (Specialized in Pump Overhaul)

Qualifications:

  • Must have a Technical Diploma or Vocational Certificate in Mechanical, Automotive, Electrical, Heavy Equipment Technology, Diesel Mechanics, Hydraulics, or a related field.
  • Must have proven hands-on experience in heavy equipment maintenance, including excavators, loaders, dozers, graders, dump trucks, or similar machinery.
  • Strong experience in hydraulic systems and hydraulic pump overhaul is highly preferred.
  • Experience with crusher plants and/or diesel-powered pumps is an advantage.
  • Must be capable of diagnosing and repairing hydraulic systems, pumps, engines, gears, electrical systems, heavy equipment, trucks, and diesel pumps.
  • Experience in construction or infrastructure projects is highly preferred.
  • Must have strong hydraulic troubleshooting, repair, overhaul, and maintenance skills.
  • A valid driving license is an advantage, where applicable.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair hydraulic pumps and hydraulic systems.
  • Perform complete hydraulic pump overhaul, including disassembly, inspection, cleaning, repair, replacement of worn components, reassembly, and testing.
  • Troubleshoot hydraulic systems on excavators, loaders, dozers, graders, dump trucks, and other heavy equipment.
  • Diagnose hydraulic faults such as pressure loss, leakage, abnormal noise, overheating, and poor equipment performance.
  • Inspect and repair hydraulic valves, cylinders, hoses, motors, fittings, and other hydraulic components.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on hydraulic systems used in crusher plants and construction equipment.
  • Work with diesel-powered pumps and related mechanical and hydraulic systems.
  • Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.
  • Use appropriate tools and testing equipment to diagnose hydraulic system problems and verify repairs.
  • Maintain records of inspections, pump overhauls, repairs, replaced components, and maintenance activities.
  • Follow established safety procedures and technical maintenance standards.
