HVAC TECHNICIAN

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3 years of working experience is required.
• Candidates must be a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in Others or similar fields.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in HVAC maintenance and operation.
• Must have a diploma and/or relevant HVAC training certificates.
• Knowledge of HVAC troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair procedures.
• Knowledge and practical experience with central air-conditioning systems.
• Knowledge and practical experience with split-type air-conditioning systems.
• Familiarity with HVAC components, refrigeration systems, compressors, condensers, evaporators, motors, fans, filters, and controls.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and operational HVAC problems.
• Knowledge of preventive and corrective HVAC maintenance practices.
• Familiarity with HVAC tools, testing instruments, and maintenance equipment.
• Understanding of safe handling procedures for electrical equipment and refrigerant systems.
• Physically fit and capable of performing hands-on HVAC maintenance work.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship and safety.
• Responsible, reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently or as part of a maintenance team.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Willingness to follow company policies, technical instructions, and workplace safety regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine inspection, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC systems and equipment.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure reliable and efficient HVAC operation.
• Maintain and service central air-conditioning systems and related equipment.
• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair split-type air-conditioning systems and components.
• Diagnose HVAC faults, equipment malfunctions, unusual noises, poor cooling, and other operational problems.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, and control-related HVAC problems.
• Check compressors, condensers, evaporators, fans, motors, thermostats, filters, coils, and other HVAC components.
• Inspect refrigerant systems for leaks and other operating issues and report problems requiring further repair.
• Clean and maintain filters, coils, condensers, evaporators, drain pans, and other HVAC components.
• Check refrigerant levels and assist with refrigerant servicing in accordance with proper procedures.
• Inspect electrical connections, wiring, controls, motors, and other electrical components associated with HVAC equipment.
• Perform testing after maintenance and repairs to verify proper system operation and cooling performance.
• Respond promptly to HVAC breakdowns and urgent maintenance requests.
• Follow scheduled HVAC maintenance plans, technical instructions, and manufacturer recommendations.
• Maintain HVAC tools, equipment, spare parts, and work areas in good condition.
• Coordinate with other technicians, maintenance personnel, supervisors, and contractors when performing facility maintenance work.
• Maintain records of inspections, maintenance activities, repairs, equipment problems, and replacement parts when required.
• Report major equipment defects, recurring problems, safety hazards, and additional maintenance requirements to supervisors.
• Follow appropriate safety procedures when working with electrical systems, refrigerants, rotating equipment, tools, and machinery.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe after completing maintenance activities.
• Assist in maintaining building HVAC systems and equipment in safe, efficient, and operational condition.
• Perform other HVAC maintenance and facility-related duties assigned by management.
