Hostess

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience as a Hostess or in a similar hospitality/customer service role.
• Candidates must possess a Vocational Diploma or Short Course Certificate in a related field.
• Must have experience in the same industry, preferably in restaurants, hotels, or hospitality establishments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Pleasant personality, professional appearance, and strong customer service orientation.
• Ability to multitask, remain organized, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong teamwork skills and ability to coordinate with restaurant staff to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities:

• Welcome guests warmly upon arrival and provide a positive first impression of the establishment.
• Escort guests to their assigned tables and provide menus in a courteous and professional manner.
• Manage the host stand, entrance area, and menus to ensure cleanliness and organization throughout the shift.
• Provide accurate wait-time estimates during busy periods and maintain an organized waiting area.
• Coordinate seating arrangements by balancing guest flow among servers to ensure efficient service.
• Monitor table availability and communicate seating updates with the service team.
• Answer guest inquiries regarding menu items, operating hours, reservations, and general restaurant information.
• Handle minor guest concerns or complaints calmly and professionally, escalating issues when necessary.
• Assist the front-of-house team in maintaining high standards of hospitality and customer satisfaction.
