Job Location: Australia

Techforce Personnel Pty. Ltd. is seeking an experienced Gypsum Board Installer to join residential, commercial, and industrial construction projects in Australia. The successful candidate will be skilled in plasterboard installation, jointing, finishing, and delivering high-quality surfaces to project specifications.

Gypsum Board Installer

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4–6 years’ recent experience in plasterboard fixing and finishing.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., TESDA Carpentry NC II / NC III, Construction Painting NC II / NC III, Gypsum Board/Drywall Installation).
  • Experience in residential, commercial, or industrial construction.
  • English language proficiency (IELTS General Training or Academic: minimum 5.0 in all subtests, or PTE Academic: Listening 33, Reading 36, Writing 29, Speaking 24).
  • Overseas experience is a strong advantage.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and maintain high-quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Framework & Setup
    • Read and interpret drawings, layouts, and ceiling plans.
    • Install metal stud frames, tracks, and ceiling systems.
    • Set out walls and ceilings using levels and measuring tools.
  • Board Installation (Fixing)
    • Install plasterboard including standard, fire-rated, moisture-resistant, and acoustic boards.
    • Measure, cut, and fix boards to frames accurately.
    • Make cut-outs for electrical, plumbing, and HVAC services.
  • Jointing & Finishing
    • Tape and apply jointing compounds to seams and corners.
    • Apply multiple coats and sand surfaces to achieve smooth finishes.
    • Deliver Level 4 or Level 5 finishes as required.
    • Install cornices, trims, and corner beads.
  • Technical Capability
    • Read plans and follow project specifications.
    • Knowledgeable in plasterboard systems, fixing methods, and finishing techniques.
    • Attention to detail to ensure high-quality finishes.
