Shelford Constructions is seeking an experienced Formwork Carpenter to construct, install, inspect, and dismantle formwork systems for concrete construction projects. The successful candidate should be highly skilled in reading construction drawings, taking accurate measurements, and building safe and precise formwork for walls, columns, beams, slabs, and foundations.

FORMWORK CARPENTER

Qualifications:

• Must have at least 5 years working experience as a Formwork Carpenter
• Must know how to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings
• Proficiency in constructing and installing wall, column, beam, and slab formwork according to project specifications
• Strong mathematical skills to calculate measurements, quantities, and angles required for formwork construction
• With good English communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Measure and cut materials to desired specifications using hand and power tools
• Construct and assemble formwork for concrete foundations, walls, and slabs
• Read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings to determine project requirements
• Ensure formwork is level, plumb, and square, using levels, lasers, and other measuring tools
• Install anchor bolts, steel plates, and other fixtures in the formwork
• Remove formwork after concrete has cured
• Inspect and maintain formwork to ensure it is in good condition and safe for use
