Farm Equipment Mechanic

As an Agricultural or Farm Equipment Mechanic, you will maintain, repair, and service a wide range of farm machinery and vehicles, ensuring minimal downtime during critical farming seasons. You’ll work with modern tools, diagnose mechanical and hydraulic issues, and ensure equipment meets Australian safety and performance standards.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Farm/Agricultural Equipment Mechanic/Fitter
• Must have hands-on experience working with 300–700 HP tractors, preferably New Holland, John Deere, or Case brands.
• Skilled in the repair and maintenance of farm equipment such as tractors, combine harvesters, and various agricultural machinery.
• Proficient in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing diesel engines, electronic, and electrical systems.
• Has good communication and teamwork skills for effective interaction with team members and customers

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain tractors, harvesters, seeders, sprayers, and other agricultural machinery
• Inspect and replace defective parts, using both manual and power tools
• Service hydraulic, electrical, and fuel systems in farm equipment
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to reduce breakdowns during peak seasons
• Operate diagnostic software and testing equipment to troubleshoot faults
• Weld and fabricate components for machinery repairs or modifications
• Maintain accurate service records and report equipment status to supervisors
• Ensure all work complies with Australian workplace health and safety regulations
