Red Sea Gateway Terminal (RSGT) is seeking a qualified Facility Maintenance Mechanical Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility mechanical systems and equipment, ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of terminal facilities in accordance with company standards and operational requirements.
Facility Maintenance Mechanical Technician
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Preferably with experience in port, terminal, industrial, or facility maintenance operations.
- Technical diploma or vocational qualification in Mechanical Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledge of mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of facility mechanical systems and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, technical manuals, and equipment schematics.
- Familiarity with HVAC systems, pumps, compressors, piping systems, generators, and other building mechanical equipment.
- Good problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team.
Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility mechanical systems and equipment.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical faults to ensure uninterrupted facility operations.
- Maintain HVAC systems, pumps, compressors, piping networks, generators, and related mechanical equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance activities according to established schedules.
- Replace defective mechanical components and perform necessary repairs and adjustments.
- Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and prepare technical reports as required.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and company maintenance procedures.
- Assist in the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems and equipment.
- Coordinate with facility maintenance personnel and operations teams to support terminal activities.
- Follow company policies, housekeeping requirements, and quality assurance procedures.

RSGT operates the country’s largest and most advanced container terminal at Jeddah Islamic Port, accounting for approximately 39% of Saudi Arabia’s container throughput in 2024 and offering 6.2 million TEU of annual capacity.
To serve a broader range of customers and cargo types, RSGT offers Multi-Purpose Terminals (MPT) services through a dedicated business unit that manages non-containerized cargo across four strategic locations on Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea coast. The portfolio spans Jeddah Islamic Port (integrating general cargo and Ro-Ro into a single multi-purpose facility), King Fahd Industrial Port in Yanbu, Yanbu Commercial Port, and Port of Jazan, adding roughly 13.4 km of quay and 3.3 million m² of operational area. Across these sites, RSGT handles general cargo, dry bulk, liquid bulk, Ro-Ro, project/heavy-lift cargo, and livestock. A planned SAR 1.6 billion upgrade program will modernize infrastructure, equipment, and digital systems and introduce energy-efficient technologies.
Across container and multi-purpose operations, RSGT focuses on reliable performance, safety, and sustainability, leveraging digital yard management, smart gate processing, and data-driven asset reliability, with a roadmap that includes electric handling equipment and shore-power readiness where feasible.
