Al Qahtani PCK Pipe Company (AQPCI) is seeking skilled Mechanical Technicians to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of mechanical systems and industrial equipment in its manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will ensure equipment reliability, minimize production downtime, and maintain compliance with safety and maintenance standards.

Mechanical Technician

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of working experience as a Mechanical Technician or in a similar industrial maintenance role.
• Must hold a Vocational Diploma/Short Course Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Skilled in the maintenance, repair, assembly, and disassembly of plant machinery and utility equipment.
• Experienced in maintaining and repairing hydraulic systems, including hydraulic pumps, valves, and related components.
• Ability to read and interpret hydraulic and pneumatic schematic diagrams.
• Knowledgeable in the maintenance and repair of plant water distribution systems, water pumps, valves, gear motors, bearings, oil seals, and lubrication systems.
• Experience in maintaining seawater desalination plants, cooling towers, compressors, overhead cranes, and gantry cranes is an advantage.
• Possesses basic knowledge of fabrication work.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and the ability to complete assigned tasks efficiently and on schedule.
• Male applicants are preferred for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on mechanical systems and equipment, including pumps, motors, gearboxes, conveyors, rotators, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns by troubleshooting mechanical issues and carrying out immediate repairs to minimize production interruptions.
• Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems while managing spare parts inventory.
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new mechanical equipment and ensure proper integration with existing systems.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify leaks, wear, abnormalities, and potential equipment failures, and implement timely corrective actions.
• Participate in planned plant shutdowns for major repairs, overhauls, and routine maintenance of critical equipment.
• Ensure all maintenance and repair activities comply with company policies and safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, maintenance activities, and parts replacements.
• Perform other maintenance duties as assigned by supervisors.
