ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3 years of working experience is required.
• Candidates must be a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in Others or similar fields.
• Diploma in Electrical Technology or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in building and facilities maintenance.
• At least 3 years of experience in electrical maintenance for buildings and facilities.
• Knowledge of building electrical systems, wiring, lighting, electrical panels, switches, outlets, and related equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical faults and perform appropriate repairs and maintenance.
• Familiarity with electrical tools, testing instruments, equipment, and safe work practices.
• Ability to read and follow electrical diagrams, technical instructions, and maintenance procedures.
• Knowledge of preventive and corrective electrical maintenance practices.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe and quality workmanship.
• Physically fit and capable of performing hands-on electrical maintenance work.
• Reliable, hardworking, responsible, and able to work independently or as part of a maintenance team.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Willingness to follow company policies, workplace procedures, and safety regulations.
• Male applicants are preferred for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems in buildings and facilities.
• Conduct preventive and corrective electrical maintenance to ensure reliable operation of building systems.
• Inspect electrical wiring, circuits, switches, outlets, lighting systems, panels, and related components.
• Diagnose electrical faults, equipment malfunctions, short circuits, and other electrical problems.
• Repair or replace defective, damaged, or worn electrical components as required.
• Install, connect, maintain, and repair electrical fixtures, lighting equipment, switches, sockets, and related devices.
• Perform electrical testing using appropriate testing instruments and tools.
• Check electrical connections, wiring, terminals, and components for proper operation and safety.
• Assist with electrical installation and maintenance works during building repairs, renovations, and facility improvement projects.
• Respond promptly to electrical breakdowns and urgent maintenance requirements.
• Perform scheduled maintenance according to established maintenance plans and procedures.
• Maintain electrical tools, testing equipment, materials, and work areas in good condition.
• Coordinate with other technicians, maintenance personnel, supervisors, and contractors when performing facility maintenance activities.
• Follow electrical diagrams, technical instructions, maintenance schedules, and equipment specifications.
• Record completed maintenance, repairs, inspections, and identified electrical issues when required.
• Report major electrical defects, safety hazards, and equipment problems to supervisors.
• Ensure electrical work is carried out in accordance with company procedures and applicable safety requirements.
• Observe proper lockout/tagout and electrical safety procedures when performing maintenance work.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free from electrical and other workplace hazards.
• Assist in maintaining the overall electrical systems and facilities in safe and operational condition.
• Perform other electrical maintenance and facility-related duties assigned by management.
