ELECTRICAL & INSTRUMENTATION TECHNICIAN

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 year(s) of working experience is required.
• Candidates must be a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic); Engineering (Others) or similar fields.
• Male applicants are preferred for this role.
• Strong electrical and instrumentation experience related to firefighting truck systems or heavy vehicles.
• Proven experience troubleshooting diesel engine electrical systems, control panels, sensors, switches, and wiring.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with good knowledge of electrical safety and maintenance procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair fire pump control panels and electrical systems used in firefighting equipment.
• Inspect and repair electrical wiring, sensors, switches, and instrumentation systems on firefighting trucks and heavy vehicles.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical systems of diesel engines and identify faults using appropriate testing equipment.
• Perform electrical inspections, testing, and repairs to ensure reliable operation of firefighting vehicles and equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and equipment specifications.
• Replace or repair faulty electrical components and perform necessary adjustments to restore proper operation.
• Follow electrical safety procedures and maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.
