Dental X-Ray Technician
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience as a Dental X-Ray Technician or in a related dental imaging role.
- Graduate of a Bachelor’s Degree, Vocational, Technical, or equivalent healthcare-related program.
- Must possess a valid passport with at least one (1) year of validity.
- Strong knowledge of dental radiographic procedures, equipment operation, and radiation safety protocols.
- Familiarity with digital imaging systems and dental radiography software.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate diagnostic images.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physically fit and capable of working in a clinical environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform dental radiographic procedures, including intraoral, panoramic, cephalometric, and other prescribed dental X-rays.
- Prepare patients for X-ray examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort.
- Position patients correctly to obtain accurate, high-quality diagnostic images.
- Operate dental X-ray equipment safely and efficiently according to established protocols.
- Follow radiation safety procedures and ensure proper use of protective equipment such as lead aprons and thyroid collars.
- Process, review, and maintain digital or conventional dental radiographic images.
- Verify image quality and repeat exposures only when necessary while minimizing radiation exposure.
- Maintain accurate patient records and document all imaging procedures performed.
- Clean, disinfect, and sterilize radiographic equipment and work areas following infection control guidelines.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on X-ray equipment and report any malfunctions.
- Ensure compliance with dental clinic policies, health regulations, and radiation safety standards.
- Assist dentists and other dental professionals during diagnostic and treatment procedures when required.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and provide excellent customer service.
- Participate in quality assurance activities and continuing professional development.
- Perform other duties assigned by the dentist or clinic management.
