Dental X-Ray Technician

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience as a Dental X-Ray Technician or in a related dental imaging role.
• Graduate of a Bachelor’s Degree, Vocational, Technical, or equivalent healthcare-related program.
• Must possess a valid passport with at least one (1) year of validity.
• Strong knowledge of dental radiographic procedures, equipment operation, and radiation safety protocols.
• Familiarity with digital imaging systems and dental radiography software.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate diagnostic images.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physically fit and capable of working in a clinical environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform dental radiographic procedures, including intraoral, panoramic, cephalometric, and other prescribed dental X-rays.
• Prepare patients for X-ray examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort.
• Position patients correctly to obtain accurate, high-quality diagnostic images.
• Operate dental X-ray equipment safely and efficiently according to established protocols.
• Follow radiation safety procedures and ensure proper use of protective equipment such as lead aprons and thyroid collars.
• Process, review, and maintain digital or conventional dental radiographic images.
• Verify image quality and repeat exposures only when necessary while minimizing radiation exposure.
• Maintain accurate patient records and document all imaging procedures performed.
• Clean, disinfect, and sterilize radiographic equipment and work areas following infection control guidelines.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on X-ray equipment and report any malfunctions.
• Ensure compliance with dental clinic policies, health regulations, and radiation safety standards.
• Assist dentists and other dental professionals during diagnostic and treatment procedures when required.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and provide excellent customer service.
• Participate in quality assurance activities and continuing professional development.
• Perform other duties assigned by the dentist or clinic management.
