Grapecare LTD. is seeking qualified and experienced Cutting Machine Operators to work in the Czech Republic. The successful candidates will be responsible for handling and preparing steel sheets used in the production of bridge structures, operating automatic plasma cutting equipment, and performing manual finishing, locksmith, and grinding tasks as required. Candidates should have relevant experience in plasma cutting machine operation and be able to follow technical cutting plans accurately and safely.

CUTTING MACHINE OPERATOR

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience is required.
• Must be at least a high school graduate.
• Proven experience in plasma cutting machine operation.
• Experience operating the Messer OmniMat L5000 or similar automatic plasma cutting equipment is required/preferred.
• Experience in steel fabrication, bridge structure production, metalworking, or related manufacturing work is an advantage.
• Ability to read and follow technical cutting plans and production instructions.
• Knowledge of steel sheet handling, plasma cutting, grinding, and manual finishing procedures.
• Basic knowledge of locksmith and metal fabrication work.
• Able to perform manual finishing of plasma-cut steel components accurately.
• Good attention to detail, particularly in measurements, dimensions, and cutting accuracy.
• Physically fit and capable of handling steel sheets and performing manual production work.
• Ability to safely operate plasma cutting machines, grinders, and related tools.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE.
• Reliable, hardworking, disciplined, and able to work effectively as part of a production team.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver, handle, position, and prepare steel sheets for the production of bridge structures.
• Operate an automatic plasma cutting machine, specifically the Messer OmniMat L5000, according to production requirements.
• Set up and operate the plasma cutting equipment in accordance with approved cutting plans and technical instructions.
• Read and follow cutting plans prepared by the cutting technician.
• Check steel sheets, dimensions, markings, and cutting requirements before starting operations.
• Ensure proper positioning and alignment of steel sheets before cutting.
• Monitor the plasma cutting process to ensure accurate dimensions and clean cuts.
• Perform manual finishing of cut steel sheets when required.
• Remove excess material, slag, burrs, and rough edges from plasma-cut components.
• Use appropriate hand and power tools for cutting, grinding, deburring, and finishing work.
• Perform basic locksmith and metalworking tasks when plasma cutting machines are operating at full capacity.
• Carry out grinding and surface preparation of steel components as required.
• Inspect finished pieces for dimensional accuracy, quality, and compliance with cutting specifications.
• Identify cutting defects, inaccuracies, or equipment problems and report them to the supervisor or cutting technician.
• Handle steel materials safely using appropriate lifting, positioning, and handling procedures.
• Maintain cutting machines, tools, and work areas in clean and safe working condition.
• Perform basic checks and routine care of plasma cutting equipment as instructed.
• Follow workplace safety procedures when operating plasma cutting equipment, grinders, and other machinery.
• Properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE), including appropriate eye, hand, hearing, and protective equipment.
• Maintain productivity and meet assigned production schedules and quality standards.
• Work closely with cutting technicians, welders, fabricators, and other production personnel.
• Assist with other metalworking, fabrication, locksmith, or grinding tasks as assigned.
