CRUSHER MECHANIC
Qualifications:
- Must have a Technical Diploma or Vocational Certificate in Mechanical, Automotive, Electrical, Heavy Equipment Technology, Diesel Mechanics, Hydraulics, or a related field.
- Must have proven hands-on experience in crusher plant maintenance and heavy equipment repair.
- Experience maintaining excavators, loaders, dozers, graders, dump trucks, crushers, and related machinery is highly advantageous.
- Must be capable of diagnosing and repairing engines, gears, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, heavy equipment, trucks, and diesel pumps.
- Strong knowledge of crusher plant mechanical systems and maintenance is preferred.
- Experience in construction or infrastructure projects is highly preferred.
- Must have strong mechanical troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance skills.
- A valid driving license is an advantage, where applicable.
- Must be safety-conscious and capable of working in demanding construction, quarry, or industrial environments.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair crusher plant equipment and machinery.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on crushers, conveyors, feeders, screens, and other associated equipment.
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, gears, transmissions, and mechanical components.
- Inspect and maintain hydraulic systems, including pumps, valves, cylinders, hoses, and related components.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems associated with crusher equipment, heavy machinery, and trucks.
- Perform maintenance on diesel-powered pumps and other supporting equipment.
- Identify mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults and carry out appropriate repairs.
- Conduct regular equipment inspections to identify wear, damage, leaks, or other potential problems.
- Replace worn or damaged components and ensure machinery is properly adjusted and operational.
- Perform preventive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime and maintain production efficiency.
- Maintain records of inspections, repairs, maintenance activities, and replacement parts.
- Follow workplace safety procedures, equipment operating standards, and site requirements.
