Construction Carpenter

Qualifications:

• At least five (5) years of relevant work experience in construction carpentry, building maintenance, or a similar field.
• Male applicants are preferred for this position.
• Good command of spoken and written English.
• Practical knowledge of carpentry methods, construction materials, and woodworking techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, measurements, and technical specifications.
• Skilled in measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and installing wooden materials and structures.
• Familiarity with carpentry tools, power tools, and equipment used in construction and maintenance work.
• Knowledge of proper installation, repair, and maintenance of doors, cabinets, partitions, formworks, frames, and other wooden fixtures.
• Good attention to detail, accuracy, and workmanship.
• Knowledge of construction site safety procedures and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Responsibilities:

• Fabricate, install, repair, and maintain wooden structures, fixtures, and fittings in buildings and facilities.
• Construct and install doors, cabinets, partitions, formworks, frames, and other carpentry components.
• Measure, mark, cut, shape, and assemble wood and related materials according to project requirements.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, sketches, and measurements to ensure accurate fabrication and installation.
• Repair damaged wooden structures, fixtures, and fittings to maintain their functionality and appearance.
• Select appropriate materials, tools, and construction methods for each assigned carpentry task.
• Install and adjust doors, frames, cabinets, shelves, and other wooden components to ensure proper alignment and fit.
• Inspect completed carpentry work to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with project specifications.
• Maintain carpentry tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Coordinate with other maintenance and construction personnel to complete assigned projects on schedule.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and properly store materials and equipment.
• Follow workplace safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Perform other related carpentry, repair, and maintenance duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.
