Committee Australia is seeking experienced Commercial Vinyl Floor Installers to join commercial flooring projects across Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing high-quality vinyl flooring systems in accordance with project specifications, industry standards, and safety requirements.

This role is ideal for skilled flooring professionals with experience in commercial, healthcare, and institutional projects.

Commercial Vinyl Floor Installer

Qualifications:

• Maximum age: 40 years old.
• Must have completed high school, plus either a 1-year vocational course or at least 1 year of college-level education.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Commercial Vinyl Floor Installer.
• Must be currently employed or have been unemployed for no more than 6 months, with a Certificate of Employment (COE) from the previous employer.
• Proven experience installing homogeneous and heterogeneous sheet vinyl flooring.
  Skilled in heat/seam welding of vinyl joints.
• Experienced in coved vinyl flooring installation.
• Knowledgeable in the use of cove formers and cap strips.
• Ability to read floor plans and properly prepare subfloors.
• Experience working in hospitals, laboratories, clean rooms, or healthcare facilities is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail, craftsmanship, and commitment to quality workmanship.

Responsibilities:

• Install homogeneous and heterogeneous sheet vinyl flooring in commercial and industrial facilities.
• Perform heat/seam welding of vinyl joints to achieve durable, watertight, and seamless floor finishes.
• Install coved vinyl flooring, including the use of cove formers and cap strips.
• Prepare subfloors by cleaning, leveling, repairing, and applying appropriate primers or adhesives.
• Read and interpret floor plans, layout drawings, and installation specifications.
• Measure, cut, fit, and install vinyl flooring materials with precision and minimal waste.
• Inspect completed installations to ensure compliance with quality standards and client requirements.
• Safely operate flooring installation tools and equipment while maintaining a clean work area.
• Follow workplace health and safety regulations and manufacturer installation guidelines.
• Coordinate with supervisors and project teams to complete installations within project schedules.
