WPS Recruitment is seeking qualified and experienced CNC Operators for an overseas work opportunity in Ireland. The successful candidate will operate CNC woodworking routers, interpret production drawings, manage tooling, troubleshoot machine issues, and ensure accurate, high-quality production.

CNC Operator

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience operating CNC routers for woodworking.
  • Ability to read and understand production drawings and technical specifications.
  • Experience with CNC machine setup, operation, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Good knowledge of CNC tooling and cutting tools.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Knowledge of woodworking materials and CNC machining processes is an advantage.
  • Ability to perform basic machine adjustments and identify equipment problems.
  • Experience with Biesse, SCM, or similar CNC machines is an advantage.
  • Good problem-solving and technical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physically fit and capable of working in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor CNC woodworking routers according to production requirements.
  • Set up machines, tooling, materials, and programs before production runs.
  • Read and interpret production drawings, technical plans, and specifications.
  • Load and position materials accurately on CNC machines.
  • Select, install, and maintain appropriate cutting tools and tooling.
  • Check machine settings, dimensions, and cutting parameters to ensure accurate production.
  • Monitor CNC operations and make necessary adjustments to maintain product quality.
  • Perform routine machine checks and basic maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot machine faults and production problems and report major issues to supervisors or maintenance personnel.
  • Conduct visual and dimensional quality checks on finished components.
  • Ensure products meet required specifications, measurements, and tolerances.
  • Maintain accurate production records and report machine or quality issues.
  • Keep the CNC machine, tools, and work area clean and organized.
  • Follow workplace health and safety procedures and safe machine-operation practices.
  • Work closely with production staff, supervisors, designers, and other team members.
  • Meet production schedules while maintaining accuracy and quality.
  • Perform other CNC machining and manufacturing duties assigned by management.
