Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience is required.
- Candidates must be at least a graduate of a four-year undergraduate course.
- Proven experience in installing doors, windows, flooring, wall panels, and roofing.
- Strong ability to read and interpret construction plans, drawings, specifications, and measurements.
- Experience in constructing and fitting internal structures.
- Proven experience in modular building assembly.
- Strong exposure to general construction and fit-out work.
- Good knowledge of carpentry methods, construction materials, measurements, and installation techniques.
- Proficiency in using common carpentry hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and quality of workmanship.
- Good manual dexterity and ability to perform physically demanding construction tasks.
- Ability to work effectively with other trades and construction personnel.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make practical adjustments during installation and construction.
- Ability to follow technical instructions, construction plans, safety procedures, and project requirements.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License.
- Must provide NBI Clearance and Police Clearance (overseas) as required.
- Must be able to provide payslips and relevant training certificates.
- Physically fit and capable of lifting, carrying, and handling construction materials.
- Willing to work in Australia and adapt to Australian construction practices and workplace safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Install doors, windows, flooring, wall panels, and roofing systems according to plans and project specifications.
- Read and interpret construction plans, drawings, specifications, and measurements accurately.
- Take precise measurements and mark materials before cutting, fitting, and installation.
- Construct and fit internal structures, partitions, frames, fixtures, and other building components.
- Perform general carpentry work for residential, commercial, modular, and other construction projects.
- Assemble and install components for modular buildings according to approved designs and assembly procedures.
- Measure, cut, shape, and join timber, boards, panels, and other construction materials.
- Install flooring materials and ensure proper alignment, level, fit, and finish.
- Install wall panels, frames, doors, windows, trims, moldings, and related fixtures.
- Carry out roofing-related carpentry and installation tasks as required.
- Ensure all carpentry work conforms to approved plans, measurements, specifications, and quality standards.
- Inspect materials and completed work for defects, damage, incorrect measurements, or installation issues.
- Make necessary adjustments, repairs, and modifications to ensure proper fit and finish.
- Use hand tools, power tools, measuring equipment, and carpentry machinery safely and efficiently.
- Coordinate with other trades, supervisors, builders, and construction workers to ensure smooth project completion.
- Maintain accurate measurements and ensure components are properly aligned, level, plumb, and securely fitted.
- Follow construction schedules and complete assigned carpentry tasks within required timeframes.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas throughout construction and fit-out activities.
- Follow Australian workplace health and safety requirements and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Handle construction materials, tools, and equipment safely and responsibly.
- Report material shortages, defective components, safety hazards, or construction issues to the supervisor.
- Perform other carpentry, construction, installation, and fit-out duties assigned by management.
