Caretaker / Handyman

Qualifications:

• At least 1–2 years of recent relevant experience, with Certificate of Employment (COE).
• High School Graduate minimum.
• TESDA NC II in a relevant qualification.
• Valid Passport and NBI Clearance.
• Practical experience in general maintenance, property upkeep, repair work, or handyman duties.
• Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general repair work.
• Ability to safely use common hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
• Good troubleshooting and practical problem-solving skills.
• Physically fit and capable of performing maintenance, lifting, carrying, and other hands-on tasks.
• Good attention to detail and ability to identify maintenance and safety issues.
• Able to work independently and complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, hardworking, responsible, and willing to follow instructions.
• Knowledge of proper workplace safety, cleanliness, and maintenance procedures.
• Willing to perform various general maintenance and caretaker duties as required

Responsibilities:

• Perform general property maintenance, repairs, and upkeep as assigned.
• Inspect buildings, rooms, facilities, equipment, and surrounding areas for maintenance issues.
• Carry out basic repairs involving plumbing, electrical fixtures, carpentry, painting, and other general maintenance work.
• Repair or replace damaged fixtures, fittings, hardware, and basic equipment when required.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to help keep facilities and equipment in good working condition.
• Assist with minor plumbing tasks such as fixing leaks, replacing fittings, and maintaining water fixtures.
• Perform basic electrical maintenance, such as replacing bulbs, switches, outlets, and other minor fixtures when qualified to do so.
• Handle basic carpentry, painting, patching, and repair work.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of assigned facilities, work areas, storage spaces, and outdoor areas.
• Assist with cleaning, landscaping, gardening, and general grounds maintenance when required.
• Monitor the condition of tools, equipment, fixtures, and property facilities.
• Report major defects, safety hazards, equipment problems, or repairs requiring specialized attention.
• Properly use and maintain hand tools, power tools, maintenance equipment, and cleaning materials.
• Ensure tools and maintenance supplies are properly stored after use.
• Assist with moving, assembling, installing, or dismantling furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
• Support routine inspections and maintenance schedules.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and urgent repair needs.
• Follow proper workplace safety procedures when performing maintenance and repair tasks.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Minimize damage and unnecessary expenses by using proper repair and maintenance practices.
• Coordinate with supervisors, property staff, or other workers regarding maintenance requirements.
• Perform other caretaker, handyman, and general maintenance duties assigned by management.
