Car Mechanic

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Car Mechanic, Automotive Technician, or similar position is required.
  • Good knowledge of automotive mechanical systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, steering, and cooling systems.
  • Skilled in vehicle inspection, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and mechanical repair.
  • Able to use basic automotive diagnostic tools and workshop equipment.
  • Good problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Physically fit and capable of performing hands-on automotive repair work.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a workshop team.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect vehicles to identify mechanical problems, defects, and maintenance requirements.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance and servicing of cars and other vehicles.
  • Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, suspension, steering, braking, and other mechanical systems.
  • Conduct oil changes, filter replacement, brake servicing, belt replacement, and other scheduled maintenance tasks.
  • Use diagnostic tools and automotive equipment to identify vehicle faults.
  • Remove, repair, replace, and reinstall defective mechanical components and parts.
  • Check vehicle systems after repairs to ensure proper operation and roadworthiness.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and the work area in a clean and safe condition.
  • Follow workshop safety procedures and proper handling of automotive tools and equipment.
  • Provide accurate information regarding vehicle faults, repairs, and required replacement parts.
  • Perform other duties related to automotive repair and maintenance as assigned.
