CABINETRY INSTALLER (KITCHEN AND WARDROBE)

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience.
• Must be at least a High School Graduate.
• Male applicants are preferred for this role.
• Previous experience in kitchen cabinet and wardrobe installation is required.
• Knowledgeable in measuring, leveling, drilling, assembling, fitting, and installing cabinetry.
• Familiar with installing and adjusting hinges, drawer slides, handles, shelves, locks, runners, and other cabinet hardware.
• Ability to accurately measure installation areas and follow approved designs, layouts, and specifications.
• Skilled in assembling and securely mounting cabinets, shelves, drawers, doors, and related components.
• Ability to use basic carpentry and installation tools, including measuring tapes, levels, drills, screwdrivers, and other hand and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, alignment, and finishing quality.
• Able to identify and correct minor fitting, leveling, alignment, and hardware problems.
• Physically fit and capable of lifting, carrying, positioning, and installing cabinetry components.
• Able to work efficiently in residential, commercial, construction, or interior installation environments.
• Safety-conscious and able to follow proper tool-handling and workplace safety procedures.
• Reliable, hardworking, disciplined, and able to work effectively as part of an installation team.

Responsibilities:

• Install kitchen cabinets, wardrobes, and other cabinetry according to approved designs, drawings, measurements, and specifications.
• Measure and verify installation areas, wall dimensions, floor levels, and available spaces before fitting cabinets.
• Check cabinet components and materials for correct dimensions, quantity, condition, and compatibility before installation.
• Assemble cabinets, shelves, drawers, panels, and other cabinetry components accurately.
• Position and securely mount cabinets using appropriate fasteners, brackets, anchors, and installation hardware.
• Ensure cabinets are properly leveled, aligned, spaced, and securely fixed to walls or other supporting surfaces.
• Install and adjust hinges, handles, drawer slides, runners, locks, and other cabinet hardware.
• Fit and adjust doors and drawers to ensure smooth opening, closing, and proper alignment.
• Install shelves, partitions, panels, fillers, trims, and other cabinetry accessories as required.
• Drill, cut, and make necessary adjustments to cabinetry components while maintaining accurate measurements and a quality finish.
• Use levels, measuring tapes, drills, screwdrivers, saws, and other hand and power tools safely and correctly.
• Check completed installations for proper fit, alignment, level, stability, functionality, and appearance.
• Make necessary adjustments or minor corrections to address gaps, uneven alignment, loose components, or hardware issues.
• Handle cabinets, panels, doors, countertops, hardware, and other materials carefully to prevent damage during transportation and installation.
• Coordinate with cabinet fabricators, supervisors, designers, contractors, and other workers to ensure proper installation.
• Follow approved installation drawings, designs, measurements, and supervisor instructions.
• Keep installation areas, tools, equipment, and workspaces clean and organized.
• Protect finished cabinetry and surrounding surfaces from scratches, dust, damage, and other installation-related issues.
• Report missing, damaged, defective, or incorrectly fabricated components to the supervisor before installation.
• Follow workplace health and safety requirements and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Assist with cabinet repair, replacement, adjustment, and modification work when required.
• Complete assigned kitchen and wardrobe installation work within required schedules while maintaining quality standards.
