CABINETRY FABRICATOR (KITCHEN AND WARDROBE)

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience.
• Must be at least a High School Graduate.
• Male applicants are preferred for this role.
• Proven experience in cabinet fabrication, kitchen cabinet production, and wardrobe fabrication.
• Knowledgeable in woodworking, cutting, measuring, assembling, fitting, and finishing cabinets.
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings, measurements, cabinet plans, layouts, and fabrication instructions.
• Skilled in using carpentry and woodworking tools and equipment.
• Ability to accurately measure, mark, cut, drill, assemble, and fit cabinetry materials.
• Knowledge of cabinet construction methods, joints, hardware installation, and proper component alignment.
• Familiar with installing hinges, drawer systems, handles, shelves, locks, brackets, and other cabinetry hardware.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to dimensional accuracy and quality workmanship.
• Able to identify fabrication defects and perform necessary adjustments or corrections.
• Physically fit and capable of handling, lifting, and positioning cabinetry materials and components.
• Able to work efficiently in a fabrication workshop and meet required production schedules.
• Safety-conscious and knowledgeable in proper tool operation, machine safety, and PPE use.
• Reliable, hardworking, disciplined, and able to work effectively as part of a cabinetry fabrication and production team.

Responsibilities:

• Fabricate and assemble kitchen cabinets, wardrobes, and other custom cabinetry according to approved designs, drawings, measurements, and specifications.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, cabinet plans, layouts, measurements, and fabrication instructions.
• Measure and mark wood, boards, panels, and other cabinetry materials accurately before cutting and fabrication.
• Cut, drill, rout, shape, and prepare wood and other cabinetry materials according to required dimensions.
• Assemble cabinet frames, carcasses, doors, drawers, shelves, panels, partitions, and other components.
• Ensure all cabinet components are properly aligned, square, securely joined, and accurately fitted.
• Install and adjust hinges, drawer slides, handles, locks, brackets, and other cabinet hardware as required.
• Perform edge finishing, sanding, trimming, and other finishing work to achieve a clean and professional appearance.
• Check fabricated components against approved measurements and designs to ensure dimensional accuracy.
• Identify and correct fabrication errors, fitting problems, uneven joints, or dimensional discrepancies before products are released for installation.
• Operate carpentry and woodworking tools and equipment safely and correctly.
• Use measuring tapes, levels, squares, drills, saws, routers, sanders, and other appropriate tools for cabinetry fabrication.
• Maintain and perform basic checks on carpentry, woodworking, and fabrication tools and equipment.
• Select and properly handle wood, boards, laminates, hardware, adhesives, fasteners, and other cabinetry materials.
• Minimize material waste through accurate measurement, cutting, planning, and proper material handling.
• Protect finished cabinetry components from scratches, moisture, damage, and other defects during fabrication and storage.
• Coordinate with cabinet installers, supervisors, designers, and other production personnel to ensure fabricated components meet installation requirements.
• Make necessary modifications or adjustments to cabinets and components based on approved changes or site requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe fabrication workshop.
• Follow company quality-control procedures, production schedules, and workplace safety requirements.
• Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when operating machinery and performing fabrication work.
• Report defective materials, damaged tools, equipment problems, or production issues to the supervisor.
• Perform other cabinetry fabrication, carpentry, assembly, and related duties assigned by management.
