BAKER

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of work experience as a Baker or in a related bakery position.
• Good understanding of ingredients, food preparation, baking techniques, and the production of baked goods.
• Ability to prepare and produce a variety of breads, pastries, cakes, cookies, and other bakery products.
• Good knowledge of measuring, mixing, proofing, shaping, baking, and finishing techniques.
• Ability to understand, operate, clean, and maintain baking equipment and tools.
• Knowledge of proper food handling, health, sanitation, hygiene, and food safety practices.
• Good attention to detail and ability to maintain consistent product quality.
• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced bakery or food service environment.
• Physically fit and capable of standing for extended periods and performing routine bakery duties.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Responsible, hardworking, reliable, and willing to follow established procedures.
• Flexible and willing to perform other duties and assignments as directed by management.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and produce a variety of breads, pastries, cakes, cookies, and other baked goods according to established recipes and production requirements.
• Apply knowledge of ingredients, food preparation, and baking techniques to create consistent and high-quality products.
• Measure, mix, portion, shape, proof, and bake ingredients according to recipes and required standards.
• Understand, operate, and properly maintain baking equipment and tools.
• Monitor oven temperatures, baking times, and product quality to ensure consistent results.
• Check the quality and freshness of ingredients before use.
• Properly store flour, eggs, dairy products, fillings, toppings, and other baking ingredients.
• Maintain clean and organized preparation areas, workstations, equipment, utensils, and storage areas.
• Follow applicable health, sanitation, hygiene, and food safety codes at all times.
• Handle ingredients and finished baked products in a safe and hygienic manner.
• Monitor supplies and inform management when ingredients or other bakery materials need replenishment.
• Minimize food waste through proper measuring, preparation, storage, and inventory practices.
• Ensure finished products meet established standards for taste, texture, appearance, freshness, and presentation.
• Work efficiently to complete daily production requirements and customer orders on schedule.
• Report equipment problems, ingredient shortages, or product-quality issues to management.
• Follow company policies, procedures, and workplace safety requirements.
• Perform any other duties and assignments that may be assigned by management from time to time.
