BAKER (All Level)

Qualifications:

• 21 to 35 years old.
• Previous experience in baking, pastry production, bakery operations, or a professional kitchen is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of baking techniques, dough preparation, proofing, mixing, shaping, and oven operation.
• Ability to follow recipes, measurements, preparation procedures, and production schedules accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistent product quality.
• Knowledge of proper food handling, hygiene, sanitation, and safe storage practices.
• Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced bakery or kitchen environment.
• Hardworking, reliable, disciplined, and willing to learn.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Able to follow instructions from senior chefs and supervisors.
• Willing to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays when required.
• Must have a valid passport.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and bake a variety of breads, rolls, pastries, cakes, and other bakery products.
• Measure, weigh, mix, and prepare ingredients accurately according to established recipes.
• Prepare and handle different types of dough, including mixing, kneading, proofing, shaping, and portioning.
• Operate ovens, mixers, proofers, and other bakery equipment safely and efficiently.
• Monitor baking temperatures, cooking times, proofing conditions, and product quality.
• Shape, decorate, glaze, and finish bakery products according to required standards.
• Ensure baked products have consistent taste, texture, color, size, and appearance.
• Prepare daily bakery mise en place and ensure ingredients are ready before production.
• Inspect raw materials and ingredients for freshness and quality before use.
• Properly store and label ingredients and finished bakery products.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of bakery workstations, equipment, utensils, and storage areas.
• Follow proper food hygiene, sanitation, and food safety procedures at all times.
• Minimize food waste through proper ingredient handling, preparation, portioning, and storage.
• Monitor inventory levels of flour, yeast, sugar, dairy products, fillings, toppings, and other bakery supplies.
• Inform supervisors of ingredient shortages, equipment problems, or product quality concerns.
• Coordinate with pastry chefs, kitchen staff, and other departments to ensure timely production and delivery of bakery products.
• Follow production schedules and complete assigned bakery tasks efficiently.
• Assist in developing or preparing new bakery products when required.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures when handling hot ovens, machinery, utensils, and ingredients.
• Perform other bakery-related duties as assigned by the chef or management.
