Automobile Electrician

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Electrician, preferably in automotive or commercial vehicles.
  • Must be an Electrical Engineering graduate or graduate of a related course.
  • Skilled in vehicle electrical wiring, installation, and assembly of electrical components.
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Experienced in electrical testing, troubleshooting, and fault diagnosis.
  • Knowledge of automotive electrical systems, wiring circuits, electrical components, and diagnostic procedures.
  • Ability to safely use electrical testing instruments, diagnostic tools, hand tools, and workshop equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to diagnose electrical problems accurately.
  • Good communication skills and ability to understand and follow technical instructions.
  • Physically fit and capable of performing hands-on automotive electrical work.
  • Willing to work and build a long-term career in Germany.
  • Willing to study the German language up to A2 level.
  • Responsible, hardworking, safety-conscious, and committed to quality workmanship.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in automobiles and commercial vehicles.
  • Perform vehicle electrical wiring, installation, assembly, and connection of electrical components.
  • Diagnose electrical faults and determine the appropriate repair procedures.
  • Read and interpret vehicle wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, circuit diagrams, and technical drawings.
  • Install and connect electrical wiring, cables, terminals, switches, sensors, relays, fuses, lighting systems, and other electrical components.
  • Inspect vehicle electrical systems to identify damaged, worn, loose, or defective components.
  • Perform electrical testing using appropriate diagnostic tools, meters, testers, and automotive diagnostic equipment.
  • Troubleshoot problems involving starting, charging, lighting, ignition, and other vehicle electrical systems.
  • Repair or replace defective wiring, connectors, electrical components, and related parts.
  • Test electrical circuits and components to verify proper operation after installation or repair.
  • Assist in the installation and servicing of electrical and electronic systems in commercial vehicles.
  • Follow manufacturer specifications, technical instructions, wiring diagrams, and approved repair procedures.
  • Perform preventive electrical maintenance to help ensure vehicle reliability and safety.
  • Inspect electrical connections and ensure proper insulation, grounding, and secure installation.
  • Identify abnormal electrical conditions and report major faults or repair requirements to supervisors.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, diagnostic findings, repairs, and replaced components.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and electrical testing instruments safely and correctly.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop and work area.
  • Follow workplace electrical safety procedures and applicable vehicle maintenance standards.
  • Coordinate with automobile mechanics, technicians, supervisors, and other workshop personnel.
  • Keep updated with vehicle electrical technologies, diagnostic procedures, and new automotive electrical systems.
  • Perform other automobile electrical maintenance and repair duties assigned by management.
