Our employer Franklin Smith Limitedย is in need of the following:
Drainlayer
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Drainlayer, Labourer, or Water Mains Installer.
- Experience in large bore pipe installation, deep trenching, and civil site works.
- Knowledge of HDPE butt welding, electrofusion, pressure testing, and commissioning (for water mains role).
- Ability to read and work from civil engineering drawings and plans.
- Strong English communication skills.
- Physically fit and able to work in outdoor construction environments.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out drainage and water mains installation works on civil construction sites.
- Perform large bore pipe installation, deep trenching, and shoring operations.
- Install HDPE pipes using butt welding and electrofusion techniques (for water mains roles).
- Conduct pressure testing and system commissioning, including tie-ins and live network work when required.
- Read and interpret civil drawings, plans, and specifications.
- Ensure compliance with site safety standards and construction procedures.
- Work effectively with site supervisors and other trades to meet project deadlines.
