DIESEL MECHANIC

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as a Diesel Mechanic
  • Proven experience with agricultural machinery and heavy diesel equipment
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
  • Experience with preventative maintenance programs
  • Experience in farming or agricultural environments is an advantage
  • Welding and fabrication skills
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Willingness to take the IELTS (target band score of 5) or meet secondary education English exemption

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults in diesel engines and heavy machinery
  • Perform routine maintenance and preventative maintenance programs
  • Read and interpret technical manuals and schematics for accurate troubleshooting
  • Carry out welding and fabrication tasks as needed
  • Work with modern precision agriculture machinery, including GPS-enabled equipment (advantageous)
  • Ensure machinery operates safely and efficiently on farms and agricultural sites
