(BUYER MANAGER) RETAILER BUYER

Qualifications:

• Minimum 10 years of working experience in FMCG procurement or related fields.
• Bachelor’s / College Degree in Business Studies, Administration, Management, or related fields.
• Demonstrated expertise in overseas purchasing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong numeric ability and forecasting skills.
• Experience in training, developing, supervising, and appraising personnel.
• Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment with tight timelines.
• Demonstrated customer focus and results-driven behavior.

Responsibilities: 

• Sourcing & Selection: Identify and procure new products, balancing basic staples with seasonal items to meet market demand.
• Profit Optimization: Enhance margins through competitive acquisition, careful planning, and strategic purchasing.
• Inventory Management: Generate purchase orders based on store requirements; monitor sales performance and stock levels.
• Logistics Oversight: Monitor ETD/ETA for all shipments; ensure proper documentation (Telex Release or Surrendered BL) is provided before container arrivals.
• Store Coordination: Maintain regular communication with stores regarding incoming stock, new arrivals, and reorder planning.
• Leadership & Coaching: Manage, motivate, and develop the procurement team; conduct performance appraisals and ensure KPIs are met.

• Valid NBI clearance (not less than 6 months before expiry)
