Food Manufacturing Plant Assistant Manager
Qualifications:
- Between 21 years old to 40 years old.
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a food manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong understanding of FSSC 22000/HACCP systems and related food safety standards.
- Proven leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent planning, forecasting, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet production timelines.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage production schedules – determine what to produce, how much, and when to meet sales demand and inventory requirements.
- Oversee the general running of the plant, ensuring efficient, safe, and high-quality operations. Forecast raw material requirements for upcoming production runs and coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely availability.
- Ensure all equipment and machinery are maintained in good working order and condition, coordinating maintenance and repair works as required.
- Supervise daily plant operations, including workflow, production output, and adherence to quality and safety standards.
- Lead people management activities – hiring requests, training, scheduling, and manpower allocation across production areas.
- Maintain FSSC 22000 compliance, ensuring proper documentation, implementation, and audit readiness.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve food safety.
