SAFETY OFFICER

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field.
• Safety certifications such as BOSH (Basic Occupational Safety and Health) or COSH (Construction Occupational Safety and Health) are required, especially for SO2 or SO3 levels.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in environmental health and safety, preferably in a FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) or manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and technical knowledge of safety regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments of facilities and equipment.
• Investigate work-related injuries, accidents, and near-misses to identify root causes and prevent recurrence.
• Provide safety training to employees, including 14 Life Safety Rules (LSR), and conduct emergency drills.
• Manage safety documentation, work permits, and compliance for contractors and visitors.
• Prepare monthly KPIs, maintain accident records, and report safety trends to management.
