Construction Foreman

Qualifications:

• Trade qualification in carpentry, masonry, civil works, or related field (Certificate or Diploma preferred)
• Proven experience (7+ years) in construction, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment
• Sound understanding of WHS (Workplace Health & Safety) requirements.
• Experience with poultry or agricultural infrastructure (desirable but not required)

Responsibilities:

• The Construction Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating daily on-site construction activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
• The role provides leadership to site workers, subcontractors, and trades while maintaining compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and project specifications.
• Direct and oversee daily construction activities including civil works, shed building, warehouses, utilities, and related infrastructure.
• Interpret and implement construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Ensure work is carried out according to plans, timelines, and quality standards
• Supervise site workers, subcontractors, trades, and equipment operators.
• Assign tasks and monitor productivity of crews.
• Train, coach, and mentor junior site staff where required
• Enforce workplace health and safety regulations on site
• Conduct daily site inspections and toolbox talks.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, building codes, and local regulations
• Monitor and manage use of construction materials, tools, and equipment
• Ensure machinery and tools are used correctly and safely.
• Request materials and resources as required to maintain workflow
• Conduct regular quality checks of work performed.
• Identify and address construction issues or defects promptly
• Maintain daily site reports, progress updates, and communicate with management on project status
