SAFETY INSPECTOR

Qualifications:

• Male applicants are preferred
• Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or equivalent technical discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience in a heavy industrial, marine, or shipyard environment.
• Strong understanding of HSE regulations, shipyard safety procedures, and risk assessments.
• Certified in IOSH/NEBOSH/COSH , or equivalent (required or preferred depending on position level).

Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily site inspections in various zones (ships, offshore units, dry docks, workshops, tanks, confined spaces, etc.).
• Identify unsafe conditions, practices, or violations, and take immediate corrective action or escalate to supervisors.
• Ensure workers comply with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.
• Verify that work permits (hot work, confined space, working at height, etc.) are properly issued and implemented.
• Monitor high-risk activities such as welding, lifting operations, scaffolding, and tank entry
