CATERING SUPERVISOR
Qualifications:
- Male applicants
- 5 years of proven experience in a similar position.
- Degree or Diploma from a culinary school will be an advantage
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the effective operation of the canteen/kitchen and to deliver high quality catering
services. - Plan and coordinate all aspects of catering, including meeting with employees, service activities, sanitation and fiscal responsibilities.
- Supervise staff during all aspects of catered events to ensure high quality service standards and presentations are met.
- Allocation of catering staff duties as defined by the catering service
- Review menu and food within guidelines issued
- Carry out staff training
- Checking & recording number of meals produced and served
- Carry out food loss control, as required.
- Ensure the cleanliness of the kitchen, equipment and its surroundings.
- Report faults in equipment and request necessary day to day maintenance of premises.
- Ensure the security of the kitchen, stores and surroundings.
- Report any accidents in the kitchen or complaints regarding staff welfare.
- Encourage, listen and respond to all staff feedback/enquiries
- Maintain a flexible working schedule to facilitate supervision of daily operations and catering events as assigned.
- Ensure that all staff work correct hours and the correct break periods are observed.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed, as well as determine and manage priorities with minimal guidance.
