BRANCH MANAGER

Qualifications

  • University Degree plus 3 years related experience in Shipping Agency environment, Freight Forwarding or Port Operations.
  • Proactive with a commercial view and able to maintain good customer’s relationship through visitation and follow up on potential business.
  • Experienced in process management, management capability, involving negotiating skills and the responsibility of the agency.
  • Able to manage change and continuous improvement.
  • A team player with good leadership skills showing with the desire to develop and train other colleagues in all aspects of shipping agency.
  • Overseas experience is added advantage.
  • Excellent command of written & spoken English is essential.
  • Excellent operational, management, and knowledge in all matters relating to vessel operation, customer service, documentation & office administration in shipping with an in-depth knowledge of shipping agency

Responsibilities

  • Control all Liner business and responsible for ensuring the highest service standards & continuous improvement
  • Manage Operational Performance & Quality, set up SOP’s and KPI’s to ensure conformity across all offices.
  • Lead the branch in implementing best practice in all agency operations.
  • Provide solutions to operational and customer problems, ensure client satisfaction with the service at all times.
  • Responsible for the relationship with principals & global agency partners of the principal
