DEMI CHEF (COLD KITCHEN)

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 -7 years and above experience working in a similar volume-based business that represents global culture and consistent, approachable and elevated dishes.
• Over five years of experience as a Demi Chef De Partie, with expertise in Korean and Japanese cuisines.
• Culinary-trained professional who is passionate and curious to develop and grow as a Chef.
• Expertise in Korean and Japanese Pickling and Salads.
• Must be a culinary graduate or diploma in culinary arts equivalent

Responsibilities:

• Coordinated with the Chef De Partie and Sous Chef for the daily menu planning and food presentations to ensure all foods were arranged on time and well presented.
• Directed and led tasks from the Chef De Partie and Sous Chef assigned to ensure daily smooth operations and cleanliness.
• Supervised Commis for the preparations and cooking procedures and process
• Overseeing the items received from the suppliers to ensure proper food storage is maintained and followed.
• Participated in cost control procedures by controlling food wastage and minimizing food requisitions.
• Monitored kitchen tools and equipment to ensure all were sanitised and appropriately kept.
• Checked daily reports and handed over tasks to ensure smooth operations.
• Washed and sanitised daily fruit and vegetables, receiving and storing as per the chef’s discretion.
• Followed Health and Food Safety according to HACCP guidelines and procedures
• Communicated with the Demi Chef and Chef De Partie for the daily menu preparations and reported all issues that arose in the kitchen issues, such as equipment malfunctions and hazards
