Qualifications:

• 3 years of experience as a steward or in a related role within a hotel setting is advantageous.
• Knowledge of hotel kitchen procedures, equipment, and cleaning standards.
• Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Thoroughness in maintaining cleanliness and following instructions accurately.
• Capability to work effectively within a team and coordinate with various departments.
• Willingness to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays as required by hotel operations.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to food handling and cleaning practices.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for washing dishes, utensils, and other kitchen equipment using appropriate cleaning methods and equipment.
• Ensure cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen, including cleaning countertops, sinks, floors, and taking out trash.
• Support chefs and cooks by preparing ingredients, assisting in food preparation, and organizing kitchen areas.
• Assist in receiving and storing kitchen supplies, monitoring inventory levels, and reporting shortages or damages.
• Perform routine maintenance on kitchen equipment and report any malfunctions for repair.
• Adhere to food safety and hygiene protocols, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and following safety procedures.
• Coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and cleanliness.
