We are currently hiring highly skilled AWP or Forklift Mechanics (Fitters) for our clients in Australia.
FORKLIFT MECHANIC
Qualifications:
- Requires minimum 5 years of experience as a Forklift Technician (Fitter)
- Must have experience servicing a range of material handling equipment, including internal combustion and battery-operated forklifts
- Electrical experience with Lithium-Ion batteries and systems is an advantage
- Good computer skills
- Has a valid driver’s license
Responsibilities:
Common tasks that you may perform include:
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on AWPs and forklifts.
- Studying drawings and specifications to determine suitable material, method and sequence of operations, and machine settings.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and conduct necessary repairs
- Replace or repair defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
- Fitting fabricated metal parts into products and assembling metal parts and subassemblies to produce machines and equipment
- Diagnosing faults and performing operational maintenance of machines, and overhauling and repairing mechanical parts and fluid power equipment
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
- May erect machines and equipment on-site
