Mado Turkey is seeking an experienced and skilled Chef de Partie to join its kitchen team in Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and presenting dishes according to company standards, supervising Commis Chefs and kitchen assistants, and ensuring consistent food quality and timely service. The role also includes proper food storage and participation in monthly inventory checks.

Chef De Partie

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • At least High School Graduate.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, menu planning, and kitchen operations.
  • Practical experience working as a Chef de Partie, Demi Chef, or in a similar kitchen position.
  • Ability to supervise and guide Commis Chefs and kitchen assistants.
  • Good understanding of food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and proper food storage.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality and consistency.
  • Ability to prepare and deliver food within required service times.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Physically fit and capable of standing for extended periods.
  • Responsible, hardworking, and professional.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to company recipes and standards.
  • Manage food preparation and cooking activities within the assigned kitchen section.
  • Ensure dishes are prepared accurately, consistently, and within required service times.
  • Supervise and support Commis Chefs and kitchen assistants.
  • Assign tasks and provide guidance to junior kitchen staff as needed.
  • Monitor the quality, freshness, portioning, and presentation of food.
  • Ensure timely preparation and delivery of dishes during service.
  • Follow established cooking methods, recipes, and menu specifications.
  • Monitor proper storage and handling of food ingredients.
  • Ensure ingredients are properly labeled, stored, and maintained at appropriate conditions.
  • Participate in monthly inventory checks and report shortages or discrepancies.
  • Monitor ingredient usage and help minimize food waste.
  • Ensure kitchen equipment, utensils, workstations, and storage areas are clean and organized.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Follow food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
  • Coordinate with other kitchen sections and service personnel to ensure smooth operations.
  • Report food quality issues, equipment problems, and ingredient shortages to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Assist in maintaining high standards of kitchen cleanliness and organization.
  • Perform other culinary and kitchen duties as assigned.
