QA/QC ENGINEER (MANAGER)

Qualifications:

• Male applicants are preferred for this role.
• Knowledge of international standards (ASTM, BS, ACI, NFPA, etc.).
• Certifications such as ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, CQE, or equivalent preferred.
• Strong documentation, analytical, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in QA software and MS Office.
• Strong understanding of construction methodology and materials

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Quality Management System (QMS) as per ISO 9001.
• Prepare, review, and approve Project Quality Plan, QA/QC procedures, ITPs, and method statements.
• Ensure proper document control, traceability, and maintenance of all quality records.
• Monitor daily construction activities to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and codes.
• Coordinate and witness inspections with the client, consultant, and subcontractors.
• Review, process, and approve Material Inspection Requests (MIRs) and Work Inspection Requests (WIRs).
• Oversee all site and third-party testing activities (civil, MEP, steel, finishes, equipment, etc.).
• Verify correct calibration of testing and inspection equipment.
• Inspect incoming materials for compliance with approved specifications and certifications.
• Identify non-conformities and issue NCRs; manage investigation, corrective actions, and closure.
• Implement preventive actions and follow up to avoid recurrence of quality issues and rework.
• Conduct internal QMS audits and evaluate subcontractor performance through external audits.
• Coordinate during client and third-party audits, ensuring compliance and issuance of required reports.
• Support construction teams in resolving quality-related technical queries and discrepancies.
• Participate in risk assessments, constructability reviews, and coordination meetings.
• Maintain quality control logs and registers (IR/NCR/material approvals/RFIs/test reports).
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly QA/QC performance reports and KPIs for management review.
• Lead and supervise QA/QC engineers, inspectors, and laboratory/testing staff.
• Provide training and mentoring to promote strong quality awareness across the project.
• Verify completion of punch lists before commissioning and handover.
• Prepare and compile final quality documentation, including as-built records and handover dossiers.
