Machine Operator (Extrusion)
Qualifications
- 5+ Experience in PET extruder operator
- Basic understanding of Extrusion process and attention to details.
- Ability to work and communicate with others.
- Experience with SML extrusion is an added advantage.
- Ability to lift bend and stand or walk for long periods of time.
- Willingness to work in shifts (late or early hours, weekends and overtime if necessary.)
Responsibilities:
- Set up machines (calibration, cleaning, startup etc.) to start a production cycle.
- Control and adjust machine settings wherever and whenever required.
- Operate machine according to instructions.
- Plan and feed raw materials whenever required.
- Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools.
- Test operation of machines periodically
- Fix any issues that might occur during the shift.
- Inspect final product on line for any quality non conformances.
- Keep records of approved and defective units or final products.
- Maintain activity logs and production records.
- Perform quality control, follow reporting and recordkeeping procedures, and report problems to supervisor.
- Comply all safety and health regulations.
- Clean machines and maintain cleanliness in work area.
