UNDERGROUND EQUIPMENT MECHANICS (Sandvik, CAT)
Qualifications:
To qualify for this job you must have:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Underground Mining Equipment Mechanic, Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic or Diesel Fitter
- Experience working on underground mining equipment
- Experience with Sandvik or Epiroc machines highly regarded
- Documents to support your visa application (passport, police clearances, employment evidences including reference letters, salary evidences such as pay slips or government contribution records, and school records)
- Good English communication skills
Job Responsibilities:
Some common task that you may have to perform include:
- Inspecting diesel engines and identifying faults or defects
- Disassembling, repairing, and reassembling diesel engines and their components
- Testing and tuning diesel engines to ensure optimal performance
- Maintaining and servicing diesel engines and related systems, such as fuel injection systems, cooling systems, and exhaust systems
- Performing preventive maintenance tasks, such as changing oil and filters, inspecting belts and hoses, and checking fluid levels
- Fabricating and welding metal components as needed
- Diagnosing and repairing electrical and electronic systems used in diesel engines
- Operating and maintaining tools and equipment used in diesel engine repair and maintenance
- Keeping accurate records of work performed and parts used
- Following safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organized work environment
