Heavy Equipment Operator

Qualifications:

• Previous experience operating heavy machinery in construction, mining, or a similar field is preferred.
• Possession of valid licenses or certifications for operating specific types of heavy equipment.
• Proficiency in operating and controlling heavy equipment, understanding technical manuals, and performing routine maintenance.
• Strong commitment to safety protocols and practices to prevent accidents and ensure a safe work environment.
• Ability to sit for long hours, work in various weather conditions, and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Capability to troubleshoot equipment issues and make basic repairs or report problems to maintenance staff.
• Capability to work collaboratively with a team and follow instructions.

Job Description:

• Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, loaders, graders, or cranes according to job requirements.
• Perform tasks related to site preparation, including excavation, grading, trenching, and earthmoving.
• Load, unload, and transport materials using the appropriate heavy machinery.
• Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure proper functionality and report any mechanical issues.
• Adhere to safety regulations, protocols, and operating standards while operating heavy equipment.
• Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and construction personnel to coordinate tasks and ensure safety measures.
• Assist in site cleanup, including removal of debris and ensuring a clean and organized work area.
