Daeah Engineering & Construction Co. Ltd is looking for an experienced Welding Foreman to supervise and coordinate daily welding operations for construction projects in Mozambique. The successful candidate will ensure that welding activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and applicable welding codes.

WELDING FOREMAN

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience as a Welding Foreman or in a similar supervisory welding role is required.
• No minimum educational attainment is required for this position.
• Strong knowledge of welding procedures, fabrication techniques, and applicable industry standards, including WPS, ASME Section IX, API, and AWS.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team of welders.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, welding symbols, and construction specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, assign, and supervise daily welding activities to ensure project schedules and productivity targets are achieved.
• Ensure all welding work complies with approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), applicable codes (e.g., ASME Section IX, API, and AWS), and project quality requirements.
• Inspect joint preparation, fit-up, welding consumables, and welding equipment before welding operations begin.
• Monitor weld quality and ensure compliance with approved procedures and safety standards throughout the welding process.
• Coordinate with engineers, inspectors, and other construction supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of assigned tasks.
• Identify and resolve welding-related issues while implementing corrective actions to maintain quality and productivity.
• Enforce workplace safety regulations and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) by all welding personnel.
• Maintain accurate records of daily work progress, manpower, materials, and equipment utilization.
