WELDER FABRICATOR

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of working experience required.
• Candidates must be at least a high school graduate.
• Proven experience as a Welder Fabricator in structural and heavy-duty steelwork.
• Must be able to speak and understand English; willingness to take IELTS is required.
• Expertise in welding techniques including MIG, FCAW, Stick, and TIG welding.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, welding symbols, and project specifications.
• Competent in fabrication and welding of medium to heavy-duty structural steelwork.
• Able to perform welding in all positions.
• Strong understanding of general fabrication skills, including bracing, dogging, fitting, straightening using heat, and structural adjustments.
• Competent in gas cutting using acetylene, LPG, and plasma equipment.
• Experience in pressure vessel and piping fabrication is an advantage.
• ASME IX welding qualification or the ability to obtain certification is an advantage.
• Comfortable working at heights and in industrial site environments.
• Able to assist with general site engineering duties.
• Reliable, safety-focused, and committed to producing high-quality workmanship.

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical plans, welding symbols, and project specifications.
• Fabricate and weld medium to heavy-duty structural steelwork and equipment.
• Measure, mark, cut, and prepare raw metal materials using acetylene cutting equipment, LPG cutting equipment, and plasma cutting tools.
• Perform high-quality structural and heavy-equipment welding in all positions, including flat, vertical, and overhead.
• Apply various welding techniques including MIG, FCAW, Stick, and TIG welding.
• Grind, deburr, and finish welded surfaces to ensure structural integrity and compliance with design specifications.
• Carry out general fabrication tasks including bracing, dogging, fitting, alignment, and heat straightening of components.
• Ensure all welding and fabrication work complies with industry standards, certifications, project requirements, and safety regulations.
• Perform gas cutting operations competently using acetylene, LPG, and plasma equipment.
• Assist with general site engineering tasks as required.
• Work safely in industrial environments, including working at heights when required.
