TRUCK MECHANIC

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience repairing and servicing commercial trucks or buses (Volvo, Kenworth, Isuzu, Iveco, Fuso, Hino, UD, Scania, MAN, MACK, Mercedes-Benz, Renault, and others)
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and air brake systems
• Ability to operate diagnostic software and workshop tools for heavy vehicles
• Relevant trade/vocational certification in automotive mechanical (heavy vehicles)
• Good English communication skills (written and spoken)
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or in a team
• Can drive and has a valid driver’s license.
• Valid passport and readiness to provide police clearance, employment records, and school documents for visa processing

Responsibilities:

• Inspect, service, and repair engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, and suspension systems in heavy vehicles
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults using manual and computer-based diagnostic tools
• Replace or repair worn and damaged parts to manufacturer specifications
• Conduct routine maintenance, lubrication, and system adjustments
• Perform welding, fabrication, or machining as required for repairs
• Maintain accurate service records and report findings to supervisors
• Ensure all work complies with Australian road safety and workplace health regulations
• Work efficiently to minimise vehicle downtime and meet operational schedules
